The Vampire Affair
Publisher: Silhouette
Nocturne -- ISBN: 978-0373618231 -- November 1, 2009
 Tabloid reporter
Jessie Morgan finds a bigger story than she ever imagined when she investigates the
wealthy, mysterious, and extremely attractive Michael Brandt. Jessie discovers that Michaels family has
carried on a war against vampires for the past two centuries, and currently Michael is on
the front lines of that battle.
Jessie is
drawn into Michaels crusade by circumstances and by the attraction she feels toward
him, an attraction that is returned even though Michael doesnt want to admit it any
more than Jessie does. Michael tries to keep
her safe, but ultimately she is attacked by one of his hereditary enemies and turned into
a vampire herself, meaning that now Michael is sworn by the honor of his family to destroy
her. |
The Vampire Affair is my first venture into the dark, compelling world of vampires
and vampire hunters. Although I havent had the opportunity to write this sort
of book before, Ive long been a reader and fan of the genre. Thanks to
Nocturne, Im now going to be a part of it and I couldnt be more excited.
I hope you enjoy the romance and adventures shared by Michael and Jessie as much as
I did and that their tragedies and triumphs will move you and touch your heart.

Sire Connor Warrick had a reputation for ferocity both on and off the battlefield. Known
as "The Beast of Stavebrook," he was haunted by his dark and mysterious past as
were all those who surrounded him -- including his betrothed, lovely young Lady Alura de
Gabin.
Despite the knight's ill repute, he was heir to an impressive fortune . . . a fortune
Alura's father had set his sight on many years earlier. Bound by her father's wishes and
her own sense of honor, Alura reluctantly accepts "the Beast's" proposal, and
the exotic gift that accompanies it. Little does she know what awaits inside the brilliant
opals of the exquisite slave bracelet: a magic unlike any she has ever imagined . . . and
a love more rare than any jewel . . .
Alura's Wish is a fast-paced and entertaining look at the world of the djinn. It is also a
medieval romance that is true to the chivalrous fantasies of that style. . . . Here is a
tale of djinn! Here is a tale of a knight and his damsel in distress! Here is a romance
you'll never forget! Alura's Wish is a triumph! Fun, exciting, compelling, and romantic!
